If you are looking for less touristy destination, Maldives is brimming with lesser-known but equally stunning atolls.

• For beginners and experienced divers, Dhaalu Atoll is an excellent diving site due to its wider channels and shallower drop-offs. You can also visit the old mosque on the island of Kudahuvadhoo.
• The Laamu Atoll or Haddhunmathi Atoll is home to Six Senses Laamu, a 5-star luxury resort offering beach and overwater villas. Laamu Atoll also features important archaeological sites in Gan, Dhanbidhoo, Mundoo and Isdhoo. Explore the Budhdhist ruins on the island of Gan or visit the historic mosque on the island of Isdhoo.
